All retirees holding VIC access cards can enter the VIC with their spouses whenever they to do so without advance annoucement. Spouses are required to go through the screening process, retirees holding VIC cards are not so required. Retirees are authorised to sign in their accompanying spouses at Gate 1 Reception at any time.
Retirees only need to announce a visit in advance when:
- He/she wishes to bring in an accompanied visitor. In that case, the retiree announces the visit to the VIC Security Coordinator via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or calls ext. 5212 at least 24 hours in advance. The Name, Address and National ID (e.g passport, driver's license, residency permit) information are required for each visitor. All visitors are required to go through the screening process at Gate 1 Reception.
- His/her unaccompanied spouse has an appointment in the VIC: in that case, the VIC office setting up the appointment announces the visit to the VIC Security Coordinator at least 24 hours in advance.
